The Glance6" x 12" (15 cm x 30 cm) In the WorksIn June's newsletter, I announced my plans for a new body of work: wine paintings featuring beautiful women. I recently started photographing reference pictures for the first one, Tropical Notes, and actual painting should start in about 10 days. What I'm Painting NowGlimpse of PowerThis massive triptych (3 part) commission is nearing completion. I'm estimating having it done this month and unveiling it for you in December's newsletter. Whyte Avenue Art WalkThis was my second time participating in the Art Walk. What a fun time meeting so many new fans and friends! Saturday saw some huge crowds but Sunday was the busiest day by far. Whyte Avenue and 103rd Street was blocked off and turned into a massive street sale and fashion show. Sunday, though, ended with a big bang when a sudden gust of wind knocked down a section of my display. I was devastated! In the end, three giclee prints and the original work in progress, Tremulous Night, were damaged. So for those of you who've been looking forward to Tremulous Night's debut, you'll have to wait a little bit longer. Between sales, connecting with new fans, and painting live on the avenue, Art Walk 2008 was both fun and successful. Thank you to all my collectors and friends who came out to support me. I'm already looking forward to Art Walk 2009!
